Finding a unique birthday present

It’s my Mum’s 60th next year, and I’ve been frantically trying to come up with an idea for a very special and unique birthday present for her. As it’s such a landmark birthday, I’d really like to come up with something memorable that she will utterly adore.

I’ve been up and down the High Street countless times, spent hours fruitlessly trawling the Internet and asked absolutely everyone I can think of if they have any ideas, but I’m still empty handed. Although one friend did suggest theatre vouchers, which could be a possibility – I’ll have to look into it a bit more.

A wonderful birthday gift – the spa voucher.

It was my birthday a few weeks back and my best friend bought me a spa voucher as a gift. I had never even contemplated visiting a spa before, but the voucher was for two people so I asked her to come along with me.

Upon arrival we were whisked to a beautiful little caf where we enjoyed bucks fizz before we changed into our swimming costumes and enjoyed a morning going between various saunas before plunging into the pool to cool down.

After a light but utterly delicious lunch, I had several treatments including an Indian head massage and a mud wrap. I floated out of the door at the end of the day feeling thoroughly refreshed and reinvigorated.
